Mira Loma has a history of victory. Let’s keep that legacy going!

Who is MLAF?

MLAF stands for Mira Loma Alumni and Friends. If you were a Matador, married to a Matador, are a proud parent of a Matador, or love MLHS, then you are a part of the MLAF Community

We cheer for the Matador.

It doesn’t matter if it was the football team, the swim team, or the Girl’s Softball Team, if you are a Matador you are always cheering for the home team! We, at MLAF, celebrate the rich history of Mira Loma High School while showcasing the achievements of the teams and students today!

We help support MLHS today.

Just like when we were students, no single student’s success is their own. Education, sports teams and student programs need a lot of support. MLAF has a well-established history of supporting the school (in the form of grants, supplies, cheering at games, helping at events and guest speaking) to ensure that each graduating year of Matadors adds to the success of MLHS.

We come together for Reunions and Celebrations

MLAF Board members, committees, and volunteers help Reunion Committees and groups organize, plan, advertise and host their reunions. MLAF hosts mixers and fundraiser events to help Matador alumni connect with one other, relive memories and reconnect with old friends.

We archive MLHS History

MLAF has created a comprehensive collection of every yearbook that MLHS has ever produced. While we are always improving this collection, we make what we have accessable to members and membership is ALWAYS free!

We share MLHS News

MLAF connects with prior principals, coaches, athletes, teachers, and students to create a collection of newsletters and articles that give our alumni personal insight to the staff and students they know, learn more about important/significant MLHS events, and share current events or topics taking place at MLHS.

Share it.

We have fully embraced social media to ensure that our members know we exist for their benefit. We share news, post great pictures, support reunions and interact with our MLAF community! Follow us on Facebook or Twitter today!

MLAF has elected to directly support MLHS is through two means. The First is to support the Alumni community in their efforts to hold reunions, communicate with fellow alumni and faculty (both active and retired), and stay connected to the great things happening every year at Mira Loma High School. The Second is to help ensure that MLHS has a great student body. This second goal allows MLAF to support the school through many methods of donating goods, money, resources, time, and various ongoing philanthropies that directly help the students. While support from MLAF may vary from year to year, the aim is to directly help the students attending our alma mater.

MLAF is building an Alumni Community

Sign up for our Newsletter and we will share what is happening at Mira Loma and in the MLHS Community

2022 MLAF Mini-Grant Awards

Before the start of the school year, the MLHS Staff spend several days getting ready for their first day of class. On the last day before school starts MLAF passes out the Mini Grants for teachers to use in the classroom, for coaches to use at games, clubs to use for meetings and other student-driven needs! The teachers often explain that it “feels like Christmas in August”! We use our Alumni donations to fund the annual mini-grant program. Thank you to our Alumni Community for the continued support.

Class Reunions

MLAF is here to help with Class Reunions! We will meet with reunion committees to help them reach their classmates and share our collection of tips and tricks! Check out our Reunion Page for more information
