The Class of 2026

On June 8, the Mira Loma community gathered at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium to celebrate the Class of 2026 and welcome another generation of Matadors into the Mira Loma alumni family.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of four years filled with learning, friendships, challenges, traditions, and accomplishments. In the weeks leading up to graduation, the Class of 2026 was celebrated at Senior Awards Night, where students were recognized for achievement throughout nearly every corner of campus—from academics, athletics, and the arts to Career Technical Education, student leadership, community service, Speech & Debate, FBLA, science teams, and more.

This was an especially accomplished graduating class. Mira Loma recognized 23 Valedictory Scholars, dozens of Salutatory Scholars, three National Merit Scholarship Finalists, a large group of Scholar Athletes, and scores of students earning the California State Seal of Biliteracy and State Seal of Civic Engagement. Students were also honored for excellence in Computer Science, Medical Careers, English, Mathematics, World Languages, Visual and Performing Arts, Social Science, athletics, and many of the clubs and teams that make the Mira Loma experience unique.

For Mira Loma Alumni & Friends, graduation also provided an opportunity to invest directly in the next generation of Matadors. This year's Mira Loma Alumni & Friends Scholarships were presented to graduating seniors Zahra Yousafzai and Artyon Mkrtchyan.

Of course, graduation celebrates much more than awards. Every student who crossed the stage brought a different story with them—along with teachers, counselors, coaches, staff members, friends, and families who helped make that moment possible.

Now those students begin the next chapter as college students, apprentices, members of the workforce, members of the military, artists, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and whatever else their futures may hold.

But wherever those paths lead, they now share something with generations of graduates who came before them:

They are Mira Loma alumni.

Congratulations and welcome to the Mira Loma High School Class of 2026.

Once a Matador, always a Matador.
